Bangkok's - Chao Phraya River

We would often take the express river boat down the Chao Phraya River to access certain areas of Bangkok. It performed a similar service to the buses back home and worked out quite cheap. You would see all kinds of boats going down the river from public vessels, private hire long boats and ornate restaurant boats. If you were up really early (which we weren't) you could catch the morning floating market where people sell their fruit, vegetables, crafts etc, direct from the long tail boats.
This is a photie of the "Wat Arun" Temple of Dawn - taken from the Grand Pearl whilst cruising down the Chao Phraya River.
